Add Query

Summary

This page contains information on how to add a query in Issue Tracking Explorer.

Access Rights

Only the Administrators group can add public queries globally. You must have Manage Public Queries permission to add public queries in the team project, but you can add private queries without permission limitation.

To Add Query

1. Right click the Public Queries node or Private Queries node under Queries node or Team Project Queries node in Issue Tracking Explorer, select Add Query, and the Add Query page will appear, as seen in the following figure:

2. Input the query name. Query name cannot be empty.

3. Select a team project and a query type.

4. Click OK to add the new query.

Window Items:

Query name

    Specify the name of the query. Query name is required and must be unique in the selected Queries node.

Team project

    Select a team project within which you want to add the query. The dropdown list contains all the team projects that the current user belongs to and the global query.

Query type

    Select a query type, Public Queries or Private Queries.

Save

    Finish adding the query and close Add Query window.

Cancel

    Cancel adding the query and close Add Query window.
