License Agreement (IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
The user of this software is subject to the terms of the license agreement
printed below. If you do not agree with any of the terms, then you should not
use the software or any part of the software in any way. By using this product,
you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions of this license
agreement.
The Agreement
This document is a legal agreement between Dynamsoft Corporation, Canada,
hereafter referred to as "Dynamsoft" and the user of the software
herein referred to as "You".
Definitions
"SOFTWARE" means the software known as "Dynamsoft SCM Anywhere Standalone" and all its components, parts and documentation, which have
been developed by Dynamsoft.
License
SOFTWARE is licensed on a per user basis (not by concurrent users). For example,
if you have three people who use Dynamsoft SCM Anywhere Standalone, you need
to purchase three licenses: one license for each of those three people. Each
user may install the SOFTWARE Client on multiple machines as needed and access
Dynamsoft SCM Anywhere Standalone Server from multiple clients at the same
time.
Each active user will be bound to a Dynamsoft SCM Anywhere Standalone
license. The inactive user doesn't take one license.
In order to activate Dynamsoft SCM Anywhere Standalone for operation, you
must configure one or more serial numbers on the server-side. These serial
numbers are used to tell the Server how many Client licenses you have
purchased. The total number of active user accounts must not exceed the
total number of purchased licenses for your organization.
Copyright
All rights, title, and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE are owned by Dynamsoft
Corporation or its suppliers. The SOFTWARE is protected by copyright laws and
international treaty provisions. The SOFTWARE is licensed, not sold.
Restrictions
You may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble the SOFTWARE.
You may make a single copy of the SOFTWARE for backup purposes only.
All rights reserved, except as expressly provided for in this agreement.
Warranties and Disclaimers
This SOFTWARE and the accompanying files are licensed "AS IS" without warranty
of any kind either expressed or implied, including but not limited to the
implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Any
use by you of the SOFTWARE is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability. Dynamsoft Corporation's entire liability and your
exclusive remedy under this Agreement shall not exceed ten US dollars (US
$10.00).
No liability for consequential damages. Under no circumstance shall Dynamsoft or
its suppliers be reliable for any damages whatsoever arising from the using or
inability of use Dynamsoft product.
Applicable Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of Canada.
